Daily Card Redesign is a daily Magic: The Gathering design exercise where I randomly choose a card for the scenario of it being killed late during its own set's development. I design a replacement card that uses the same art, is the same color, is the same rarity, and has a name that, alphabetically, keeps it within the same collector number for the set.
Redesign:
There aren't enough cards mentioning Cowards like
Boldwyr Intimidator does, and this guy is pretty scary, so I thought this was the appropriate time to mine that design space for Cowards.
That...seems like a really complex card...
ReplyDeleteI think this card is perfect as is. If you read carefully, you'll see why. I think the power and toughness are just the right stats for a card with ten lines of text.
DeleteThis card can't exist. Scavenge needs reminder text. It doesn't fit. Also, what the heck does "Look at target face-down creature: destroy target insect"?

*does mean
DeleteIf you read the first letter of each line of text, you'll read: "A-p-R-i-l-f-o-o-L-S!" =) Also, the power/toughness read like the date: 4/1, April 1st. I also priced the mana cost and Scavenge the same way - as 4 colorless and 1 black.
DeleteYou got me bad... But I suppose I am reading this on 4/2/13.
DeleteYou're an evil genius.
ReplyDelete*bows* Much appreciated.
